Summer Camp Registration

The City of Westminster 2024 Summer Day Camp program

2024 Summer Camp groups are currently full with exception of a few days.  Waitlists are available.  Please reach out to Cindy 303-658-2219 or Seth 303-658-2200 for information.  

June 3 - August 8, 2024
Monday through Friday 6:45 a.m. - 6 p.m.
There is no camp July 4-5.

Camp will be offered at two locations:

  • City Park Recreation Center - 10455 Sheridan Blvd.
  • Countryside Recreation Center - 10470 Oak St.

The City of Westminster Summer Camp is for children entering grades 1-8, under 14 years old.   

  • Youth Groups (grades 1-5) have field trips on Thursdays.  
  • Teen Groups (grades 6-8) have field trips on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  
  • The Monkeys, Giraffes, Chickadees, and Cranes have swimming days every Tuesday and Friday afternoon.
  • The Meerkats, Cheetahs, and Eagles have swimming days every Monday and Wednesday afternoon.
  • Field trip schedules are posted on the Field Trips tile.  Trips are subject to change.  Trip schedules will be updated in a timely manner if changes are made.
  • On non-field trip days we will have a variety of on-site activities.  
  • Weekly gazettes will be emailed to families and all activities will be listed there. They are emailed the week prior.

The City of Westminster stores important medical and contact information for campers on ePACT.com. You will receive an email to complete your online health profile in the spring 2024. Your profile must be complete by May 1. Staff will review health profiles and contact parents/guardians regarding incomplete or incorrect profiles. Please check your spam for the welcome email from ePACT or whitelist the email: member.support@epactnetwork.com.

Registration Details

Registration for the 2024 Summer Camp is nearly full.  If you would like to discuss registration options and availability, please contact a Recreation Center or Cindy/Seth directly. Our info is at the bottom of the page.

Early & Open Registration Information

  • Early Registration for returning campers begins Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at 7 a.m. You must be registering for a minimum of 32 camp days to do Early Registration. 
  • Early Registration for new campers begins January 9, 2024 at 7 a.m. You must be registering for a minimum of 32 camp days (per child) to do Early Registration.
  • Open Registration begins April 3. There is no minimum number of days required for Open Registration.

Fees

  • We have different rates for Residents (R) and Non-Residents (NR), as well as Early and Open registration.  Please look at the information here closely to understand which fees apply to you!
  • There is a non-refundable, one-time $60 registration fee per child (2433785)
  • Early Registration
    • Youth: $39/day (R), $45/day (NR)
    • Teen: $45/day (R), $51/day (NR)
  • Open Registration 
    • Youth: 
      • Non-Field Trip Days: $42/day (R), $49/day (NR)
      • Field Trip Days: $47/day (R), $54/day (NR)
    • Teen: 
      • Non-Field Trip Days: $49/day (R), $56/day (NR)
      • Trip Days: $54/day(R), $61/day (NR)

Refunds

  • After March 27th you can receive a 50% refund for any cancelled days. You can cancel as many days as you wish after March 27th, but to receive your 50% refund you must give at least two weeks’ notice.
  • With less than two weeks' notice, no refunds will be given

Parent Meetings

Mandatory New Parents Meeting: This is mandatory for new families, but optional for returning families. It is an opportunity to meet staff, learn some camp basics, and ask questions of the staff prior to camp start. There are two options, you can attend whichever is best for you: Wednesday, May 29 or Thursday, May 30 at 6 p.m., at City Park Recreation Center.

Camp Field Trips

Field trips for teen groups are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays, youth groups go on field trips on Thursdays. We generally have a blend of outdoor and indoor trips, as well as some educational trips.

The cost of field trips is included in the fee for early enrollment; for open enrollments, there is an additional fee on field trip days. For more information about fees, see the registration tab on the Summer Camp webpage.

Camp Swimming

  • Monkeys, Giraffes, Chickadees, and Cranes swim on Tuesdays and Fridays.  
  • Meerkats, Cheetahs, and Eagles swim on Mondays and Wednesdays. 
  • When you complete your online health profile you will be able to indicate your child’s swimming ability. Our pools have kiddie areas as well as deep ends.  
  • Swim tests will be done for any child who wants to swim in the deep end at the beginning of camp. Kids will be able to periodically retake swim tests if they don’t pass the first time. Kids are allowed to play in water up to their shoulders without passing the swim test, unless parents indicate otherwise.
  • We encourage kids to come with goggles as we don’t provide them. 
  • Please do not send kids with floaties or pool toys.

Use the link above. Once you have a username and password, log into the online services area.

Click on the "Register for a Rec Activity" box.

Log into the online services area.

Click on "My Account" and then click on "Childcare Statements."

Using the drop-down arrow, choose the year you want to report on.

If you have multiple children, change the "Print Total Payments by Member" to "Yes."

Click "Submit."

The report can take a few minutes to process, so please be patient. The report will be emailed to the email that is on file.

Weekly Gazettes

Gazettes are how our staff let parents know what we are doing at camp for the week. You can expect information about weekly or daily themes, games, field trips, and more! Be sure to read your gazettes for important information about what your child is doing at camp. Weekly gazettes will be emailed to all parents enrolled in the program one week in advance; expect the first gazette in May 2024. If you have trouble reading or don’t receive a gazette, please reach out to Seth at sneal@westminsterco.gov.

Winter Camp

Registration Information
The City of Westminster stores important medical and contact information for campers on ePACTnetwork.com. After registration, an invitation to join ePACT will be sent to the email on file for your household. ePACT profiles must be completed by December 1st for Winter Camp and March 1st for Spring Break Camp.

Winter and Spring Break Camps go on field trips and do on-site activities every day. Camps are for children in grades 1-8.

Camps are state licensed and fees are reasonable and tax deductible. Camps operate from 7 a.m.-6 p.m. each day.

  • Please have child wear socks and close-toed shoes – We are an active camp!
  • A daily snack will be provided.  Please notify staff of allergy or nutritional concerns.
