RTD's Access-A-Ride service provides local bus transportation in the Denver metro area for people with disabilities, as long as the starting point in the trip and destination are within 3/4 mile of RTD's local fixed-route transit system. The Community Transit program is a joint project between Adams County and the cities of Arvada, Commerce City, Federal Heights, Thornton, Northglenn, and Westminster to improve transportation services for our shared aging community in Adams County. This is a grant- and community-funded program and all rides are free.
Services are available to Adams County residents who are 55 years of age or better, and individuals with physical disabilities within the same age parameters. Transportation services are provided for medical and nutritional needs. This program provides over 21,000 rides every year to residents 55 years of age or better. The Regional Transportation District (RTD) operates local and regional bus routes, commuter and light rail lines, and specialty shuttle service and para-transit services in the Denver metro region. RTD provides transit service in Westminster including the following bus and rail services.

The six-mile B Line commuter rail line provides rail service between Westminster Station and Union Station in downtown Denver where riders can connect to the C, E, and W light rail lines, the University of Colorado A Line (to the Denver International Airport), as well as local and regional buses and downtown Denver shuttles. Trains run every 30 minutes apart during rush hours and an hour apart at all other times.

The Flatiron Flyer is RTD’s Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) service connecting Denver to Boulder and all points in-between. Two stations (US 36 and Sheridan and US 36 and Church Ranch) are located in Westminster along the US 36 corridor, providing Westminster residents and visitors with frequent, convenient and reliable options when traveling along the Front Range. There are a number of trip planning apps available for your smart phone, for example the Transit app.
If your vehicle is registered at an address within RTD boundaries, you may park for free the first 24-hour period every day you park. For parking that extends beyond the first 24 hours, a daily fee applies. Outside of RTD district vehicles, a daily fee applies. Learn more about park-n-ride fees. Vehicles may not be parked continuously for longer than 30 consecutive days. Vehicles parked greater than 30 consecutive days without being moved may be subject to ticketing and towing at the owner's expense. When parking at RTD Park-N-Ride facilities for extended time while traveling via the University of Colorado A Line or SkyRide bus service, parking fees will apply. All RTD buses are equipped with two bike racks at the front of the bus, and regional buses have front bike racks and baggage bins to store bikes.
